The Head to Health Phone Service is available Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm (excluding public holidays).
The Head to Health Phone Service is not a crisis support service. If you need urgent help, call 000 or access crisis support services.
How the Head to Health Phone Service can support you
The Head to Health Phone Service is commissioned by your local Primary Health Network (PHN) to help you navigate and access the right supports for your mental health needs and goals. It supports people from all backgrounds who may have new or existing mental health concerns.
The professionals you connect with will listen and work with you to find the best way to help you get the support you need. This may involve referral into a free or low-cost mental health service in your local area, depending on what best meets your individual circumstances.
This might also include referral into a Medicare Mental Health Centre.
For health professionals
The Head to Health Phone Service can work alongside you to offer additional support for your patients. This can range from immediate support, short to medium-term mental health care, or longer term referrals.
